If you haven't noticed yet, marlinmunoz.com has a brand new look! After three years of a self-designed html site, I thought it was time to move up to a full featured flash site. In addition to looking super cool (I think so!) it is also is very flexible and will allow me to update images in a more timely manner, thus keeping the site fresh. It also has the ability to host some other services I will be rolling-out by the end of the year! The site was designed by the folks over at Bludomain, and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new website!
The new site features more photos, an automated contact page and a new feature I am really excited about, the personal gallery. This gallery will feature some of my personal photography and to begin with, I included a photo essay of an Amtrak trip I took last year with my son Ray.
Enjoy!

Lois & Jason.....
on Saturday Marlene and I traveled to the Universal Hilton to shoot Lois & Jason's wedding. When I first met them (and Jason's dad!) at our consultation, I immediately knew that I had to shoot their wedding. Lois and Jason are just dynamic, warm people and their friends and family are exactly the same! They had a fabulous wedding and Marlene and I felt honored to have been part of it! They also had some really cute kids in the wedding party and that always makes for some great photos! A unique item at their wedding was a photo booth. They rented a photo booth and their guests could take photos all night as favors and also to add to the guestbook! I will be posting the photos Marlene and I took in the Photo Booth tomorrow!
What is better than one beautiful Wedding Dress???
Two beautiful Wedding Dresses!!

Still Going.......
Why is it like two weeks since the Superbowl, and I still can't stop laughing at this video?
Welcome Back.....
Wow, finally a post! I was fighting a cold last week and was struggling just to keep up with my work, so unfortunately the blog was neglected! I got better just in time for the weekend! On Saturday, Marlene and I shot Lois and Jason's wedding at the Universal Hilton (beautiful location plus a traditional Chinese dinner...yum!) and then I did an engagement shoot on Sunday with Malisa and Joey! I will be posting photos shortly from both.
I know it is belated, but I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day. Marlene and I have a tradition of spending it with the kids and taking them wherever they like to eat, so the four of us had a very romantic dinner at the IHOP! We are such parents!
I was also lucky enough to have a date with a gorgeous young brunette with big brown eyes.... okay it was Zoe! She and I went to a father/daughter dance and she dressed all up and Marlene did her hair up so beautiful! She was so excited to go, but when we got there she totally ditched me for the food table, crafts and dancing. I was lucky enough to get one slow dance with her after her teacher promised to watch her cookies while she danced with me. She jumped into my arms and held me so tight and I could not stop thinking that in twenty some years I would be dancing with her at her wedding! I was such a big baby I was almost in tears and it was really a surreal moment, until she said, "uhh daddy, can I have my cookies now!"
Food=energy=more dancing!!!!
Did they just put dessert out?!?!

Robyn & David....
On Saturday I ventured into San Bernardino County for an engagement session with Robyn and David, who's wedding we are shooting in April. Robyn and David wanted their engagment photos in Riverside at the California Citrus State Historic Park and downtown riverside area. It still amazes me that there are so many locations in Southern California to shoot at! We started at the park, among the orange trees, and then moved on to the downtown area where David had a great location in mind. An old mill made a fabulous backdrop and really contrasted with the park area we shot earlier. We then went further downtown where we got thrown out of the outside (?) of the Mission Inn (we got the shots we wanted!) and finished up with a great alley!
It was really hard to choose the samples below because we got so many great shots! Thank you Robyn and David for a great day!
Enjoy!

Candis & Anthony....
Our second wedding of the year was with Candis and Anthony. We had a great session at the Santa Monica Pier for their engagement session back in November, and Marlene and I were looking foward to their big day. Their wedding was in Long Beach and it was a beautiful day! Only in Southern California can you have a sunny day in January.
During our engagement session, I found out that Anthony's signature shoes are Jordans, so appropriately he and his groomsmen rocked some killer Jordans. Candis opted out of the Jordans and chose some beautiful heels instead! Another element that I appreciated in their wedding was the fact that both of them danced the night away. You could tell they were really enjoying their wedding and that's really the point of your special day! Here is a sample of their wedding day!
Enjoy!
