They met at an impromptu class. He liked her muscles and she liked his pretty hair , oh wait, its the other way around! And so went our engagement session with Lise and Matt. It was a non-stop laugh fest and I knew from the time I had spent with them prior to the shoot, that I had to capture their real character, and let me tell you they were both characters!! Matt swore he was not going to smile, but I proved him wrong and it even got a little hot on the power saw table, right next to the lumber that will be their wedding canopy.
Thanks for an incredible day, the tour of Silver Lake and the awesome dinner!

Stacy & Rich......

How wonderful it is when destiny brings two souls together! Who would have thought that a chance meeting in Mexico would result in a lifetime of happiness! Just goes to show, you have to be on the lookout for love at all times!! Stacy and Rich are friends of our past bride and groom, Jasmine and Steve. They are some extraordinary people who I have really grown fond of! They had a perfect wedding in Laguna Beach and while I say it all the time, we really feel fortunate to have met them and been part of their wedding! I dig the fact that we are making memories for life! Rich and Stacy, have a tremendous honeymoon! You guys are the best and when the collection is complete, I will happily deliver it to our favorite pizza place!!
Finding new friends on Twitter!
Amazingly, even with my love of technology I have been slow to adopt and use the many social networking sites out there. Marlene had to set up a MySpace page for me, however I did recently join Facebook, which I really like, but one site has really got me hooked: Twitter! Not only do I give mini updates on my life, but also I love being able to see what others are doing. Being able to do it all from my iPhone is just another amazing advantage. So if you want, you can follow me on Twitter under marlinmunoz.
The catalyst for using Twitter more however, was an email I received from from Stephanie. Stephanie and her husband, Robert, live in my beloved town of La Mirada. Stephanie was looking for a headshot for her latest book and Robert found me on Twitter!! After a quick lunch we had a concept and ran with it! Stephanie’s book is entitled “Rachel and the Lion” and from what she has told me, it’s an amazing children’s book! It will be available October 1st, but you can preorder is now . Here are some images from the session which the Z-girl and Ray made an appearance.

Lina & Juan.....

I'm in the business of love. Forget all the photo stuff, when you really, truly break it down, it's all about the love. For all of you that follow my blog, you know I dig lasting love and you also know I like real love. Well, there's no faking the funk here, Lina and Juan have been together for like a million years (okay, that's a stretch, but I can't remember if it's 8 or 9 years!) and when Juan broke down at the sight of his bride, that what it's all about! Ain't no question, Juan loves his girl and she loves her boy...always!
Lina and Juan, you are some of the best people we know! Your bridal party was waaaaay too cool, and you constantly made us feel like family. We are so proud to have been part of your day! So much love and respect for you!
