Sid & Vince.....

Here are some shots from the engagement shoot I did with Sid and Vince this weekend. We started at the Japanese Gardens at the University of Long Beach and ended up at Shoreline Village in Long Beach. Sid and Vince will be married in May and I can't wait for their wedding, as the reception will be at the Oviatt Penthouse! How fun!

Enjoy!

Shannon and Kevin.....

Wedding season is in full swing for Marlene and I!! This weekend we travelled to Malibu for Shannon and Kevin's wedding at the Malibu Nature Preserve. I know I am posting a lot of photos, but it was a fabulous day with so much to shoot! We even ran over to the beach and took some shots there and in a 66 Ford Fairlane convertible! We had a great time and I hope you enjoy the photos!

Robby the Producer......

In the middle of weddings, email crashes, and editing, I had the opportunity to take the family to Jacob's 1st birthday party this weekend. Jacob is the son of Robby and Emeline (July 2004 and also the first of the Soratorio trilogy of brides!!) Emeline and Robby really took a chance flying Marlene and I out to Hawaii to shoot their wedding when we were starting off and we still appreciate that. It has been so wonderful to watch Emeline and Robby dating (I worked with both of them at La Mirada) and be part of their wedding and now see them as they are in full swing of starting their family! They are just great people and Marlene and I feel so special to be part of their family (plus they always have really awesome food at their parties!)

So on to the point of the post!!! Robby is also a super-talented producer and I wanted to promote him a little! You should all check out his MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/robbytheproducer . I know I have alot of musicians on here so if you need some production, Robby has some sick beats! Check out Beat 14...my personal favorite!

The Importance of Backup!!!!

I am pretty religious about backing up all of my photo files in several spots, however one area that I was lagging was my email. I use Microsoft's equivalent to Outlook for Apple called Entourage to manage all my email. In two years, I have never backed up my emails, contacts or calendar. For some unknown reason, I made a backup copy right before we went to San Francisco! This weekend I was so glad I did! Entourage took a dump and I lost all my info. Luckily I had the backup and I reinstalled it on another computer and everything is there, save for the last week of emails. I tell you this for two reasons... one is backup, backup, backup! It may be a pain, but when something like this happens you will appreciate it! Second if anybody emailed me over the weekend and I have not got back to you, try again as I may have lost your message!

I hope everyone is great, and I will be posting images from a great wedding Marlene and I did at the Malibu Nature Preserve shortly!

Andrea & Jarrod.....

Marlene and I shot Andrea and Jarrod this weekend in beautiful San Francisco(can you tell yet that I am in love with the City!) Marlene ran me crazy to fit in all the tourist spots and in turn I ran Andrea and Jarrod around the City trying to hit as many places as possible for their engagement session. Andrea is best friends with one of my good friends, Evelyn. Evelyn was kind enough to give me the hook-up (again!) and we will be shooting their wedding in October. Since Andrea and Jarrod live up north, we thought a San Francisco session would be fun. We had a great time walking and driving around the City (except when Marlene drove!) and Marlene and Andrea had a great time reciting, "So I Married an Axe Murderer" lines!

Enjoy!
