Gina & Brian......

I am a big believer that life guides you, things happen for a reason and the earth is a very small place. In probably the best example of this, I was referred by Monia (May 07) to Gina. When I arrived for the consultation, I realized this was my friend Gina from High School! Now here is a person I met in 1988, have not seen for probably 14 years and now we going to be part of one of the most important days of her life! In addition, her fiance, Brian is probably one of the coolest guys I know. Besides who else can jump like he can! (see photo below!)

So it reads like this; If I had not met Monia I would not have been referred to Gina, and if I had not been referred to Gina, I could not have possibly made these outstanding images of Gina and Brian in their beloved town of El Segundo (and no I did not leave my wallet there)! See all for a reason!

Thanks for great afternoon you two, the conversation, the bottle of water, and the Kettle Corn! Marlene and I look forward to our dinner together real soon!

Thanks also to Mr. Barker form EL Segundo High School! He invited us into his shop classroom to take some very unique photos! That was a very thoughtful gesture!

Enjoy!

Jennette & Nic and an observation....

There is nothing cooler than new love! That feeling you get when you see your love, the sensation that reverberates through you when they speak. Ah so cool! Well, I happen to think lasting love is just as hip! The comfort zone you have when they are near. That sense of security and trust. That feeling of knowing them your entire life! That's what all this is about!

I usually document new lovers, starting out on their journey together and I am blessed to do so. On Sunday I had the opportunity to document Jennette and Nic who will be celebrating their first anniversary together in August. While certainly not an old couple by any means, they have enjoyed their first year of marriage and the pressures of their big day are behind them. Only happy memories of the day now exist!

As I was observing and interacting with them, I noticed they were different. Different in a good way. He knew her, she knew him. He stepped when she stepped and vice versa. Their was something familiar about it, and then it hit me. They have become one. They are a married couple. It is a relationship I enjoy with Marlene, it is a relationship we all desire. It's a cool feeling. But like growing flowers it takes nurturing, love, affection, food and long quiet talks! But then that's half the fun!

Nic And Jennette have also added unlimited laughter to their mix! They had me laughing the whole shoot! Thanks to Sid and Vince for the referral and more importantly the introduction to such wonderful people!

Thanks for the fun, you two crazy kids and happy anniversary!

Now go grow more flowers my friends...this world needs more love!

Julie & Mike....

Marlene and I traveled to Koreatown this weekend for Julie & Mike's California reception. They were married in Boston a few months back, but held a reception for Julie's family in Los Angeles. They actually booked me about two years ago. In fact we did a engagment session in the rain on December 31, 2005! It was so long ago, Julie and I were actually standing in the elevator together and did not recognize each other! I guess my camera gave me away!

I know I always say it, but again we are so blessed with such special couples. Julie & Mike are just great people and a joy to spend the day with (plus they served a yummy Korean Bar-b-que!)

Thanks for making us part of your LA celebration!

Kamsamnida! (That is a third of my Korean vocabulary!)
